How big is your company?
At LDFE we work with more than 80 specialists. 50 of them are working at the workshop reconditioning machines every day. We have 5.000m2 of workshop with office and more than 8.000m2 machine storage space.
Can LDFE help me with a new development?
Yes, if you have a clear description of your desires, we can think along with you and help you to select new or used machine to make a complete line.
Can LDFE help me with technology / training?
Yes we have experts on most dairy products such as cheese – consumer milk – yoghurt – cream cheese – processed cheese. We work with (partly retired) experts and specialist with lots of experience.
Can LDFE help me with the installation?
Yes, if desired our mechanics can install the equipment at your premises . Also, we can offer long-distance assistance by giving instructions by video call or remote control (when installed).
Can I lease or rent a machine?
This depends on your location and the guarantees that can be given. If not in the Netherlands we work with a buy back guarantee.
What are the standards on warranty time and the conditions?
We only provide a warranty on refurbished machines. The claimed defective components are supplied and charged. Once the old, defective component has been returned to us, it is inspected by Lekkerkerker or by the original manufacturer in the case of electrical parts. If it is covered by the warranty, your account will be credited after the broken item has been returned. Electric parts will be forwarded to our suppliers for the warranty claim. The standard warranty time is 6 months after delivery or max 9 months after you are notified that the machines are ready for transport in the workshop, whichever comes first.
Is it possible to inspect the machines?
Yes, you can contact us to schedule a visitation. Most of the machines we offering are in our warehouse in Lopik, otherwise it will be mentioned in the offer.
Can LDFE help me during the visit?
Yes, we can help you with arranging hotel near to our office. Also we have our own taxi transport from airport (50 min) / nearest train station (20 min) to our office or hotel.
Does LDFE provide invitation letters?
LDFE can help you out with all the necessities related to your visit, including invitation letters.
I have used machines available, how to proceed?
We have several ways of buying machines, lines or complete factories. We will always give good and honest prices for used machines and we will help you with everything like dismantling and paperwork for transport. Please check our selling page. Can I reach the sales department directly by phone?
Your phone call will reach the reception and will then be forwarded to the sales department.
What do the conditions ‘refurbished’, ‘good running’ and ‘as is’ mean?
We can offer our machinery in three conditions: ‘refurbished’, ‘good running’ and ‘as is’. ‘Refurbished’ refers to a complete revision of a used machine to give it a second life. Our standard procedure when completely refurbishing a used machine is:
Buying a ‘good running’ machine is a cheaper solution. In this condition, we do not completely overhaul the machine, but do the necessary works to get the machine in working condition. The machine is tested in our workshop and components are only replaced if necessary. This price is always subject to conditions, as on occasion it becomes evident during the tests that there is an expensive fault. If this is the case, the buyer receives a quotation for the additional costs and is also given the option to cancel the purchase.
Machines are almost always sold ex-factory and can be deployed in the same condition in which we bought them: ‘as is’. However, the machine has not been inspected by us and there is no guarantee of its current condition. We always recommend that a machine is inspected prior to purchase and only to buy ‘as is’ if you have a thorough knowledge of machines. We can always tell you whether we purchased the machine in operating condition or whether it had already been decommissioned. Documentation is not always included and can only be supplied if it was present at the time of purchase.
Can I trust used machines?
We have been dealing with used machines since 1996 from the same place we started the business and growing every year. If a (small) problem arises, we also try to find a solution with our customers. We always have been a reliable partner due to our experience with used machinery.
Can I still order spares with the original manufacturer of the machine?
We mainly recondition the machines in original condition/parts. Spare parts can be ordered by our company or directly at the original manufacturer.
Can I buy only engineering/technology?
No, LDFE prefers to combine engineering with the supply of equipment.
What kind of documentation will I receive with the machines?
If we bought the machine with the original documentation, this will supplied. Otherwise we will ask for the original documentation at the manufacturer of the machines. If machines are completely reconditioned, we will supply a full set of documentation.
Can LDFE supply a certificate of origin?
Normally yes but it has to be assessed per deal (depending on country).
Can LDFE arrange transport and transport insurance?
Yes, at additional costs.
Can I pay by Letter of Credit (L/C)?
Yes, but the L/C terms (confirmed, irrevocable) will be given by LDFE and the L/C draft must first be approved by LDFE. In case of transportation per truck, a confirmation on case by case basis must be agreed. Also, additional costs will be involved.
