The collaboration between Lekkerkerker Dairy & Food Equipment and a leading Austrian dairy producer has a rich history. For years, we have supported them in optimizing their production processes. This partnership recently led to the acquisition of a complete cheese production line from one of their Austrian facilities.
Our collaboration consists of multiple projects that have developed over the years. We have purchased and refurbished several machines from them, while the dairy producer, in turn, has acquired machines from us. This specific project started with the question of whether we could purchase a machine from one of their production sites and supply a similar machine. While this project is still ongoing, discussions soon expanded to include other machines within their production environment.
In a subsequent phase, we had the opportunity to inspect machines stored at one of their other locations. Some of these were destined for scrapping, but our technical specialists immediately recognized their potential. By purchasing, refurbishing, and reusing these machines, we added value and minimized waste.

When the client informed us about an idle production line in Austria, all our previous experiences came together. This complete cheese production line—including milk reception systems, separators, cheese mold presses, and a modern CIP system (Bertsch, built in 2022)—offered opportunities for reuse but also required a partner capable of handling both the technical and organizational aspects. Thanks to our proven reliability and previous successful collaborations, we were entrusted with the acquisition of this line.
The deal was closed within just one and a half months of the initial contact, providing the client with certainty through clear agreements and a swift resolution. For Lekkerkerker, this marked the beginning of a new project where speed and precision were key. The dismantling process will take place over the course of this year, ensuring that the line is carefully removed and prepared for new applications.
This project highlights the value of strong partnerships. At Lekkerkerker, we don’t just see our customers as buyers but as partners. By thinking beyond the immediate request and proactively finding solutions, we create sustainable value for the long term.
